Packages turn up at your door almost daily.
The convenience was great.
But most homes weren’t designed for that. And that’s the problem.

You’re not always home.
Couriers leave boxes in plain sight.
Rain turns up unexpectedly.
Or worse, someone walks past and decides it’s theirs.

It didn’t feel secure.

Modern life had changed. Our homes hadn’t caught up.

The Calling

Rushing home before dark.
Checking delivery notifications during meetings.
Hoping nothing would be damaged or taken.

That’s not what convenience is supposed to feel like.

There had to be a better setup

And we didn’t want cheap, lightweight boxes either. So we focused on three things:

Every detail had to work under NZ conditions – wind, rain, coastal salt air.

For some, it’s a parcel that disappears.
For others, it’s a missed delivery that delays something important.
Or a key left somewhere it shouldn’t be.

That’s when it becomes clear.

This isn’t just annoying.
It’s unnecessary.

Homes deserve better systems than “leave it on the doorstep and hope.”

Instead of treating deliveries, keys, and access as separate problems, we treated them as one system.

Home access needed to be secure, practical, good-looking, easy for everyone to use including couriers.

That’s where Securely took shape.

If it’s confusing, they avoid it.
