What parcel sizes can the SECURELY Smart Parcel Box accept?
It accepts parcels up to 48 x 40 x 34cm in size and the letter slot can handle A4 envelopes. If you receive very large packages regularly, we recommend checking dimensions before purchasing.
Is the parcel box waterproof?
Yes. Its IPX3 waterproof rating means it can handle anything other than being submerged in water or hit with a high powered water blaster.
Will it rust over time?
The powder-coated galvanised steel exterior provides long-term rust resistance, even in coastal climates. We would recommend wiping it down with a damp cloth if you live near the beach for best results.
How does the SMART lock work?
Download the companion app, pair your parcel box, and set your PIN. You can unlock via app, keypad, WIFI proximity access, physical key, or one-touch remote access. You can even set single use codes if the courier driver needed to access the hidden compartment or if you wanted your neighbour or friends and family to access your parcel.
Will couriers know how to use it?
Yes. The design is intuitive: open chute door, place the parcel in the chute and the box will drop into the hidden complement below upon closing the door where it will no longer be accessible.
How does the Securely Delivery Tag work?
All the major courier companies like NZ Post and NZ Couriers offer 'Authority to Leave' tags. These make it easier for you to receive your sign for packages without having to sign for them. The problem is that hiding your packages in a box or under the verandah isn’t secure.
That’s why we partnered with them to make the process even easier (and more secure).
When you buy our Parcel Box you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up for these services and that where you will include a photo of your newly installed box. Simply add the barcodes for the courier drivers to scan after delivery (included with your purchase) to the outside of the unit and you’re all set!
Is installation easy?
Absolutely. It comes with pre-drilled holes in the bottom and the fit-for-purpose screws. It is quite heavy at 18kgs but we still recommend mounting it to a concrete pad or driveway for maximum security.
